The Truth About Jack and Jill

When we were kids, our parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and teachers...all told us the story about Jack and Jill. We all may have wondered at some time or the other, "Was Jack and Jill siblings? What caused them to fall? Anywayzzzz...wonder no more. Here's the true story about Jack and Jill....

Tim the bucket, as he was fondly called by his other bucket friends sat outside one cold, bleak night; shivering from the intense draft that overcame him. The freezing water that lay inside him did not help the situation either. As Tim sat unmoving outside the kitchen door, he could hear loud noises coming from inside the house.

"Jack and Jill are back at it again." Tim whispered to his friend Fred the tub.
"What are they arguing about now?" Fred asked.
Tim the bucket had been with Jack and Jill from the time they said their I dos. He was given to them by a relative as a wedding gift, and five years later, a little battered and worn, he was still with them.

"Jill is furious at Jack for reaching home late again." Tim answered.  "I think Jack is having an affair with Little Miss Muffet. Ever since Jack saved her from that big, hairy spider, they have been spending a lot of time together." Tim added.

"How do you know that?" Fred the tub asked.

"Mary's little lamb told me." Tim replied. "He told me that one day after the principal caught him under Mary's desk and chased him off the school's compound, he decided to pass through a short cut and caught them together in the bushes.

"You've got to be kidding me!!" Fred exclaimed, startled by Tim's revelation.
"No I'm not." Tim replied, hurt that Fred thought he would make up a tale like that. "Humpty Dumpty saw them too.

He was perched on a nearby wall and saw the entire scene. Apparently Miss Muffet's underwear got caught in a picker tree and she couldn't get it untangled. Humpty Dumpty found it to be so funny that he started laughing really hard, lost his balance, fell off the wall and broke a few ribs, his right arm and legs.

Tim and Fred began laughing uncontrollably but stopped immediately as the kitchen door swung open.
"Jill I'm not going to warn you again. Leave Miss Muffet alone. She and I have nothing." Jack barked.
"You all have nothing? Let me see what that heifer has to say for herself." Jill answered.

Jill grabbed Tim the bucket from where he sat and began walking briskly towards the hill where Miss Muffet lived.
"Where are you going with the bucket Jill?" Jack shouted, closing in on Jill who was walking as fast as she could.
"To throw some freezing water in Miss Muffet's face." Jill shouted back.

As Jill reached the top of the hill, Jack reached for her, grabbing her arm.
"Let me go Jack." Jack continued holding Jill and she swung Tim the bucket at Jack, hitting him in the head. Jack yelped in pain, lost his balance and fell; tumbling down the hill.

Jill who was shocked at what she had done, began running down the hill behing Jack's tumbling body. She gave no thought to the stones that lay on the crooked ground, and she too lost her footing and began rolling down the hill also.

Pretty soon, Tim the bucket who witnessed it all was laying at the bottom of the hill where both Jack and Jill laid; still and unmoving....eyes bleak and unseeing.

This story that I have written may be a  tale but there are issues within it that couples face throughout their relationships. Distrust is the main factor rearing its ugly head within the story. We all know that without trust as a solid foundation in a relationship, that union would never last. However, I do not want to talk about trust or the lack of it in this blog...We'll talk about it in a subsequent blog post.

My questions to you guys are, "Can a male or female have a platonic friendship with someone of the opposite sex? Where does one draw the line in relation to that friendship? What if your significant other has a problem with the closeness of the friendship, should you cease being friends with that person?

While rummaging through YouTube, I came across this video. I am sure that everyone who has been or is in a relationship can attest to having had the same arguments that the couple in the video portray.

While looking at the video, I found the arguments to be petty and hilarious. But... when placed in the exact, real life situation, there's nothing funny about the issues at all...Not one bit.

I have had to deal with a few of them myself. Take it from me... the arguments were not pretty. The leaving up of the toilet seat saga (I think every couple goes through this phase), the leaving of  wet towels and toothpicks on the bed gets me maaaadddd!!

Watch and listen to what this couple argues about....

Come on guys, tell me what you think about the video. Have you been in similar situations? Do these issues get you mad?? Be honest now!!!

Hey peeps. In this blog post, we'll be dealing with a big issue that a number of persons encounter at some point in their life. A classmate and I were having a discussion about one of our favourite television shows when this topic came to the forefront. Before I mention to you what it is all about, I will mention the television series that was being discussed...
